Honey consumption supports a type of immune function that helps the body fight cancer. Thank you honey bees!

Using a tablespoonful to sweeten your green tea or coffee could be a great idea.

Researchers found 15ml of honey consumption three times daily significant increases the T lymphocyte levels which can indirectly increase the immune system and inhibit tumor cell growth in patients with breast cancer.

Mechanistically, honey has shown to inhibit cancer cell growth through its pro-apoptotic (normal cancer cell death), anti-proliferative (inhibits cancer growth) and anti-metastatic effects.
